I am replacing the factory front shocks/struts with Bilstiens. The factory shock gets larger at the top and the spring perch will not come off. Even if it did the factory one is 1-3/4" and the Bilstien is 2". Where can I get a spring perch / seat that fits this weekend? Looking at other threads I didn't think that I would need anything else.

I have been to Oreilly's, Autozone, Carquest and Napa trying to find the front spring perch / plate. What a PITA.

I'm a lil confused. Are you trying to find the strut mount? If so one of those places should have had them or at least could have ordered them for you.

No I have 2 new upper strut mounts. The part I am looking for is the lower spring plate, perch, seat, mount. What ever you prefer to call it. lol... I went to Midas and they looked it up through Carquest. I have one on order now I am just hoping that the hole diameter is correct.
The problem is that the factory strut bottom plate will slide up but the strut body gets larger keeping it from coming off. If I were able to get it off it still would not work because the factory strut diameter where the bottom plate is is 1-3/4" Ø the new Bilstien is 2" Ø.
