Spohn SFCs welded in, but...
I had a set of Spohn SFCs welded in by a F-Body specific performance shop. The shop I went to has been around for years and does a good amount of business. The mechanic who welded in the SFCs even took me into the shop to show me his welds, explained why he welded certain areas, etc. Very professional and clearly knew what he was doing.
Here's my question. I've read on here numerous times that SFCs need to be welded on when the car is "under load," lest the welds break when the car is taken off the lift and driven. My car was lifted with this sort of mechanism:
I don't see how this lift can put the car "under load" since the wheels hang loosely. Maybe I'm not understanding that correctly, but does this mean the car was not "under load?"

I did some more research and answered my own question. The suspension can be loaded while the car is lifted, and this was done.
I would delete this thread but I'll keep it here in case some other suspension novice does a search trying to find the same information.
