SFC's!

So my dearly oh so nice mother said she would get me some subframe connectors!!

Sooo now which ones are better? I wanna get bolt in's cuz i could just always weld em in later right?

As far as install.. How do i have to lift the car to install em? Im a little nervous about just raising the front or the back and installing em, will the body lift a little crooked and they wont fit in properly? Or should i just take it to school drive it up on the lift and put her up and install em that way?

You don't want the car in any awkward positions when you install the SFC. You should have the car up on a lift to install the SFCs.

Hmmm ill do the install at school on the drive up lift so alll is nice and set. Any recomendations on some?

Look at BMR or UMI, they both make a nice bolt in set I believe.

UMI 3 points!! I have the SLPs and if I had to do it again I would go with the UMIs. They are equal to better quality wise and cheaper too.

the umi 3 point bolt ons are what i have and love them. they come with a good set of how to aswell. ky speed has them on sale a lot hit them up for a good price.

Weld in is the only way I would go. Suspension has to be loaded when installing. Meaning, the wheels cant be hanging from a lift when welding/bolting.

How do people install them then? My Z is lowered I was under the impression when I buy them (getting umi weld in from Sam Strano soon) my installer was going to do it on his lift?

I used a 4-post lift at a local garage to install my 2 point UMI bolt-ins. The entire install took all of 45 minutes, but could be done in far less time with assistance. The UMI connectors tuck up real nice under the car and fit perfectly.

I pulled the front of mine on a set of ramps I have made. They are only 5 inces tall. This left weight on all 4 tires.

im also looking for sfc to get put on this winter.

the local speed shop has sfc's from a company called bmr. has anyone heard of this brand?

I have UMI 3 point bolt ins, real nice fit and clearance. I did mine on a 4 post drive on rack

Just ordered the 3 point bolt-in. Not sure if they will make a big difference on a hardtop, but they should at least help prevent sagging.

you will know they are on the car. all f-body care in. the hardtop's had a flex.

I'm having Exotic Performance Plus install mine tomorrow morning. I'm getting the Box Tube Connectors that BMR makes, its 2" square tubing, and it's being welded in place.
