So I have been thinking about getting SFC for awhile and I just saw that these 3 point SFC where only $189! thats more than $100 cheaper than all the others I am seeing. im wondering if they are as good as the others or are they crap.

SFC's aren't hard to make so they stiffen the car. It's things like fit and finish that makes simple parts like SFC's "better or worse" IMHO. Yes, they're cheaper.... but generally you should ask why they are cheaper. I don't see pics of them on a car, so can't tell how they fit. You don't get your choice of color if you want red and not black (might not be a deal breaker, but it's one of those things) They don't seem to pick up off the rear LCA mount like I'd prefer. The front "tube" is smaller than the rear tube and a connector is only as strong as it's weakest point.

I'm a UMI dealer (and ironically so is the company you found these at), and they sure don't seem to be on the same level as the UMI stuff I sell. Compare the link you posted to these:
http://www.stranoparts.com/partdetai...D=22&ModelID=7 (bolt-ins to show the fit, Weld-ins are $20 less)

Even the weld quality on the UMI seems superior (not that I'm surprised).

i'm not trying to start a flame war here but ...

RPM speed parts are same quality as UMI Performance parts.

I'm just saying so from personal experience.

That's your opinion and you are welcome to it.

I think the pictures of the different designs (or lack of pics in the case of the RPM's) are telling, and the welds on the RPM's just don't look as good to me as the UMI welds. Add in the way they mount and I won't say they are equal anymore than I'd say a Nakang tire is equal to a BFG tire.

    Sam Strano:

I'm not going to argue with you at all; you have way more knowledge than i do about this stuff... i'm just learning this stuff. I have had a personal shopping experience about RPM Speed vs UMI parts, and i'm simply relating... all i can say is they are equal.

actually my experience involves the 2point bolt on SFC and LCA from RPM Speed.
looking at the RPM speed 3 point vs UMI... i could be way off... sorry for the confusion...

UMI does make some things under private label. But not the 3-pt connectors in question here: Quote form UMI "We do not make the RPM 3-Point SFC's... they are not ours.... The 2-Point SFCS Ws6 they had are not made by us... so I don't know who's you get there"

So yes, some things are made by UMI under private label... but not these. So we were both right.

reviewing my past shopping, i stand corrected... my SFC are in fact UMI 2point bolt on. RPM Speed are LCA and PHB for me.

For What it is worth. I am extremely happy with my UMI 3pt. bolt in SFC's. I installed them on my 02 SS Limited Edition and did lots of research before purchasing them.
