    replacements

i know the stock shocks are junk, but how do i know when to get new ones? im thinking about bilstein hd shocks and lowering springs, but will they make my ride any better (comfort, handling etc...) or will the stock ones suffice. Its either headers/ypipe or shocks and springs. which ones? i know i need a phrod, sfcs, and maybe a sway bar eventually, but my ride is crap: i feel every little bump in the road (god forbid i hit a big pothole), all my shit raddles in the car, and my car drifts all over the place (i tramline (slide to one side if i hit a bump during a turn)during almost every turn) though that could be an allignment issue, AND during high speeds (60+)the car feels like its going to shake itself apart (that might be a slightly bent rim from when i bought the car though) any ideas on this?

I DD my TA and the Bilstein HD shocks are to date the BEST mod I've ever done, ride is tolerable now. $329 from Sam Strano, they make a HUGE diff.

do they make the car handle better (or would those be suspention mods like sfcs..)? so would it be worth getting suspention upgrades before headers (is build it from the ground up a good guideline. How many people still use the stock shocks?

the recommendation for shock replacement is 50k. this would be to maintain the type of handling it had when it left the factory. shocks wear out slowly over time. that's why some people say the car rides stiffer when they replace them with new ones.

do they make it handle better, yes.

suspension vs headers - do you want more power or better cornering?
