Q about stock torque arm and aftermarket

I was wondering if the stock TA bracket is re-used when you have an aftermarket TA, i can't remember. I have to convert back to stock and want to make sure incase i have to order the stock bracket again. Thanks.

By bracket do you mean the "clamshell' for the bushing? If so just keep the new (poly?) bushing in and re-install your stocker.

A new bushing (aftermarket poly) can be ordered for about $15

yes i mean the 2 peices that you put together and squeeze the rubber bushing around the torque arm where it attaches to the transmission. I have a stick btw.

My aftermarket torque arm has a rubber bushing that has a circular hole, my stock bushing (which is lost) has a rectangular hole to fit the rectangular end of the stock TA. I just wanted to confirm that the 2 peices that clamp the bushing together are re-used when you get an aftermarket TA, i know the bushings may vary but i'm talking about the bracket.

Again the reason being i presently have an AM TA on the car but it broke, have to take it off and replace with stock TA, can't remember (and haven't had a chance to look at it) if it is a stock bracket and if it will thus work with my stock bushing which i just ordered.

I didn't know u could just buy a stock bushing, where can you get it? I had to buy one side of the damn bracket from the dealer which supposedly comes with the bushing.

Sorry I ment you can get a aftermarket bushing with the stock slot (m shape hole) from Moog (rubber) energy suspension (poly) and prothane (poly) you just re-use the bracket (clamshell).

Here is a link to one of the websites sponcers:

    "47-7-1609 Prothane Polyurethane Torque Arm Bushing, 82-02 F-body $14.99"

    http://www.thunderracing.com/catalog...&vid=4&pcid=92

Then you can sell your TA with the circular hole bushing.
