    Power steering problem

A few months ago I noticed a leak at the side hose that goes to the cooler a while back and I bought a new hose and clamps. Power steering was making noise so I took the filler cap off and there was a ton of pressure. Thats why its blowing off the side hose. What is causing this?

Check the fluid to see if it is "milky". The coolers can leak and bleed engine coolant into the P/S system -- bad. I removed our stock cooler and am running a small dedicated cooler mounted on the K-member.

Fluid is empty, nothing to check.

I am trying to remember if the cap is vented to compensate for pressure buildup when the fluid heats up.
