Suggestion: If you are particularly irritated by another member's posting habits and are constantly fighting the urge to flame them, you can click on that person's profile, and select "Add to ignore list." This will make that person's posts invisible to you.

Don't powder coat them. Another guy did it and it looked awesome, but you can't just wear it off with the pads, it's too tough. What he did is powder the entire rotor, then took them to get them turned which took off the powder from the pad surface. He paid nothing since his friend did it at his shop.

I just did the C5 corvette rotor upgrade kit and just painted mine red (the entire thing) then drove a few miles and it was all off the pad surface. I used Krylon OSHA red to match my Camaro. The Dupli-color red that has ceramic in it, but isn't needed and is way more dull than the OSHA red I used. Mine have about 500 miles on them and not one sign of a paint problem. I also touched up the calipers while on the car with the rotor since over spray on the rotor surface just came off. Now my calipers and rotor hats look bad ass!

These are my last ones I did. I actually masked off the surface on these first. took forever, but I liked the results.

Ditto. When I masked off mine up there ^ , I masked off where I thought I should. I was off by about 1/2 inch. This time I just painted them and the pads magically removed the PERFECT amount and area.

I scuffed the rotor hat with a grey 3M brillo pad from Lowe's..... then I shot it. That was it. No primer or anything else. They STILL look amazing to this day.

I didn't primer because I didn't want a build up of layers of paint then have to remove it all. After the paint was removed, I just hit them again on car and was done.
