    New suspension parts!

I just got some new suspension parts and they are:

UMI Double Adjustable Panhard Bar w/roto-joints
    UMI Lower Control Arms w/roto-joints
    UMI 3-Point Subframe Connectors
    SLP Bilstein Shocks
    Vogtland Lower Springs
    UMI Panhard Bar relocation kit
UMI Lower Control Arm relocation kit

Now I just need to take some time off work to put this stuff on.

Sorry if the pictures suck, I couldn't find my good camera.

I am sure. Also doing the cts-v brake swap too, just waiting on the brake lines to come in.

It is hard to tell how big those calipers are from a picture but they are friggen huge!

Big is beautiful, in brakes/exhaust and cubic inches
those are sweet, I can't justify doing a break upgrade on mine for a while, have drilled and slotted rotors and nice pads that seem to be lasting me forever (I am a heavy downshifter )

GL with your build, looks like you're going to have a different car when you're done

They are 14" rotors for a 07 z06 corvette. The cts-v brake calipers bolt right on to the ls1 bracket with no issues, the only thing you need is a custom brake line but you can buy that for about $80 for both sides. You also need at least 18" wheels with a offset of <41mm or get a spacer. I have 20" wheels with a 30ish offset I believe. What size are your wheels and are you sure you got the right bracket?

i have 06 Z51 Corvette wheels. the bracket that i got with the brakes is a stock corvette piece. but it needs to be extended 8/10ths of an inch to clear the rotor. im thinkin about scratchin that deal and do the cts-v like you got....not to copy off you

I would go with the cts-v calipers, actually think I read somewhere that they are more track worthy than the c6 calipers, I think it was gmhighperformance magazine.

Nice upgrades, could you post pics of the car after the spring install? I've been looking in to these springs lately.

I just got the brake lines for my cts-v brake swap. Does anyone know how to tell if I need spacers? I thought if my current calipers are more than 1/4" away from the wheel I'll be fine but I just want to make sure. I'll post up pics when everything is done.

in the gmhightechperformance build they did use a 1/2" spacer, but I think it will depend on the wheels you run. remember if you do end up running a spacer you will more than likely need longer studs also.

If I were you, I'd just unbolt your old caliper (leave brake line attached) and carefully swing it out of the way, bolt on the CTSV caliper and see if the wheel bolts back on without hitting it and freely spins. That way if it doesn't fit your brakes are still useable and you just need to have the caliper reattached while you order spacers and studs.

I thought about doing that but I wasn't sure if there was a minimum clearance needed from the old caliper to the wheel that would tell me if I needed spacers for the new caliper. I thought I read some where that is was a long the lines of 1/4" but maybe it was 1/2". I'll try that if I can't find it.

OK, sorry I don't know about that one, personally I think I might check myself on the car your working on with the wheels/calipers you are using, just because someone else did it online doesn't necessarily mean your rims/caliper combo is going to fit exactly the same, check twice cut once

True, that is probably a better idea instead of just going by clearance measurements. I mean I have 20x8 boss 338 wheels in the front and I think they have a offset of 30ish so I should be fine. But I think I will put the z06 rotor on with the caliper to see if it works without a spacer. Also, I totally forgot to figure out what brake pads I need, it's just cts-v ones right?

Do you plan on adding True Dual exhaust? I ask because that's basically the only reason to get Panhard Bar Relocation Kit.

Yea I do. Otherwise I wouldn't have gotten the PBR kit.
