NEED HELP with suspension color to compliment car!!!
I'm getting ready to order alot of suspension parts to set up my car for the strip...Here's a quick list:
BMR Boxed SFC's Weld In
BMP Adj, LCA's
BMR Adj. Panhard
BMR Adj. TA (i already have this 1)
NOW!!! My problem is that these parts come in powder coat red.... My car is yellow.... Should i just leave the suspension parts red because red really doesnt clash with yellow i think it actually accents it a bit instead of over kill yellow... OR... Should i have the parts painted in yellow to match the car??? I'm going to order these suspension parts this week so i would appriciate any help possible!!!
1 more thing... Are the parts i listed good or does hotchkis/UMI/Spoan/SLP make these suspension parts any better???? From doing my reading these are the essential suspension upgrades for traction for the strip!! Please give me your info!!!Last edited by NeeD4SpeeD; 12-25-2005 at 04:15 PM.

You can have them powercoat your parts yellow for an extra $5.00-$10.00 per part? Also good parts. I have BMR's boxed LCA and adjustable Torque Arm and relocation bracket. I like them, install was easy. Definitely will help 60ft. times.

Go with red. If you have to special order it will take longer and the red will really make your parts stand out. All the companies shit is about the same just a different name.

I say go with yellow or black. your car is yellow, in my personal opinion the red clashes bigtime.

Honestly it's your car so who cares what others think? I hope you made the decision on what YOU really wanted. Also yes, they are all good mods to help on the strip, the only other I would recommend is Bilstein HD shocks in the back, or all the way around to really help ride quality.

for the PHR + LCA, I wouldn't go w/ BMR... too many failures once you start cornering in normal conditions... I'd go w/ UMI.
I'd get all black... if anything, i'd get the SFC to match the paint.
Also, does that mean you are getting Koni or Bilstein since they are yellow ? both great shocks.Eugenio_SS
almost stock triple-black 2000 SS convertible with 17x11s on all 4 w/ 315s at the track or on the street with 18x10.5s on all 4 w/ 315s: (1), (2)

Well i've had the BMR LCAs and PHR have had them in for about 2K miles and have beat on them in all conditions and at the track also and havent had a single problem and i was under the car yesterday installing my new brakes and all my BMR parts look perfectly fine where did you hear all of that about the BMR parts?
And i went with all red parts for underneath the car and it actually looks pretty good, when i get home i'll post a few pix of the underbody to show u how everything looks!

damping on the QA1 suck and aren't appropriate for our cars... especially compared to the Koni's or even the Bilstein.
As for the BMR, just do a search on BMR PHR failure... you should find plenty, if not here, in ls1tech, and frrax
