BLACK- 1998 WS6, ASC BUILD #206
Need help locating ...............
I need help locating right & left side Rear Axel Bumpers (bump stops) for my 98 T/A.
All local parts house tell me NO. Not available. The local GM dealer tells me NO, not available.
I tried Year One and they tell me NO. No number on file.
I didn't know I needed these until this past Friday while having new tires installed.
The tire installer called me over to show me the right side bumper was gone and the left bumper
is falling apart. They are made of hard rubber and time has taken it's toll.
Anyone know of a parts place that would have these OR be able to locate them?
I haven't tried Classic Industries yet but thought I would later today.
I did see them listed on this site in the GM parts listing BUT can not seem to get it to take my order.
It wanted my VIN number to verify the correct parts. I added that info past Friday and nothing.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Drive safe.

I have heard the Jeep ones will work as well.
My TA has the SS/WS6 ones I got off a wrecked SS.
My V6 has them removed and the brackets cut off to fit my Vette 18" rears.

BLACK- 1998 WS6, ASC BUILD #206
Bumper stops installed today.
All went well with the exception of the replacement bolts sent are a little short.
The new bumpers came with thicker shims than the originals which required a longer bolt that the originals.
They still tightened down good and I'm happy.
Thanks for the information. This T/A WS6 is Factory modified by ASC at the Lachine facility on March 13, 1998 and is identified to be
ASC build #206.
We took delivery from Pontiac dealer April 7th, 1998.
ASC Factory letter provided from them.
Love of money is the root of all evil.
Send $19.95 for more information.
