V6 springs are too soft for a LS1.

the v6 springs should help at the track you will have the rear move down faster so it should get your 60's down some. i have a set in the shop but havent had time to try it my self.

I put the stock V6 springs in on the rear of my Z.
It defiantly helped, I have no 60 foot times to confirm but you would be able to feel it when launching.
Why wouldn't you want to in the front?

I remember reading about the v6 springs. It's debatable whether you want them or not. Some say they can help the launch, the car will squat better, yet I don't think squatting is what you want. I don't think you want that weight transfer to the rear like that. All you really want is the front end to rise up. I am still on stock suspension, but everyone seems to say a torque arm will lower '60 fts more than anything. LCA's are supposed to help as well. I'll probably start with those.

weight transfer is the key. if you dont have sticky tires the you need more to go back on the rear tires. it was the same way and y the gasser's where big back in the day. when you get good tires then you get the stiff rear and soft frount set up.

OH, i thought he had sticky tires. I was gonna say, because just look at cars with full slicks...you don't want the rear end to squat. But if you can't hook, then i guess this is what you'll need

I went from 98-02 V6 rear springs (which are apparently the same as the V8 from 98-02) to '96 LT1 rear springs and isolators. It lowered the back of my car a ton and it looks like my car has a mild drop spring on it, even though it doesn't. I then put coilovers in front.

After I put the LT1 rear springs on (which lowered the back) I noticed it felt lower in the rear, and it had less weight transfer (which made my car feel slower).

    93-97 V6 front springs are 223
    93-97 V6 rear springs are 95.4
    98-02 V6 front springs are 257
    98-02 V8 front springs are 292
    98-02 V6/V8 rear springs are 114

    Here's a before and after:
