ur handling will get better with just the springs but it would be a new world with the spring and some hi-po shocks

eibach is the most likly change for springs and yes you will fell gain in turns and stuff and cornering. , but if your mostly doing the strip its not the best.

its just what you want really

Yup, no problems there. You should put new shocks on while it's apart.

better off changing the shocks at same time... if you were to chose only of the two to change, i'd go w/ shocks.

yes i know all of this but if i am going to lower the car say one inch, don't i have to get a certain type of shock since the lowering may hinder the new shock?

shocks are meant to work w/ a given spring rate.
stock shocks are shit by nature anyways... given the choice on your springs, shocks that will suit it better can be selected.
Which Eibach you are thinking on ?
by the lowering values, it looks like you might be interested on the Sportlines. I strongly recommend against it. been there, done that.
There are a few threads on the prokit vs sportline comparison.

what are you looking to accomplish w/ your car ?
how much more stiffness you want out of springs (stiffness and harshness is quite different)
what's the main use of the car ?
    budget ?

I don't necessarily want too much stiffness but a noticeable change! I do want to lower it but i have 18 inch tires in the rear and 17 in the front so i don't want it to affect that! the main use of the car is for daily driving but not that much. i do plan on getting a torque arm and sfc so i don't want to scrape over every lttle bump!! and as for the budget, nothing too expensive i do want a nice spring and shock setup, that is at a reasonable price. with all that said what is a good spring and shock setup that i should get?

i'd say keep stock springs, get Koni SA for the front, installed in lower perch (lowers ~3/4")
get Bilstein HD for the rear, and rubber hose mod (lowers same amount), coupled a swaybars, it's cheap and car will handle great while increasing your confort.
If I were to do it again, i'd probably go w/ that approach or the Strano springs + revalved shocks.

I was talking with a friend of mine who deals with Fbodys all the time. I asked him if I should get new shocks when I get a Pro Kit (1.4 inch drop) in the next couple of months. He told me that since I have a WS6 I shouldn't worry about it. The shocks on a WS6 and
SS are very good so it that is the case you might not worry to much. If you don't have a SS or WS6 you might want to consider it. Just my 2 cents.

lol... shocks on SS and WS6 are identical to other fbodies, unless you have the 1LE option (level-2) which come with Koni's and different springs, or the SLP-suspension package option. (level-1) which comes w/ Bilstein.

WS6 shocks are the de-carbons and are quite shity... unless you have the FireHawk with the above mentionned packages.
Your friend might deal w/ fbodies all the time, but looks like suspension is not his knowledgeable area.
