    Lowering questions!!

I want to lower my t/a......so I think I am gonna go with strano springs. My question is, how will it ride if I keep the stock shocks in? Also what is another good shock to go with besides koni's. Because Just can't justify spending that much for four shocks. I just want a decent ride with a lower stance, pretty much just an appearence mod..Help me out guys!!!

They aren't the best shocks IMHO, but are a workable option. I sell them for $409 a set. Can't do Ebay pricing, but then Ebay'ers aren't here sponsoring the site or giving advice.

the problem is you want to be lower and have good ride quality. I'd save for the konis. If you don't like the kyb, then you loose all the $$$ you spent on those, or the pose you wanted.

    My life is a
    Ben Stiller movie.

i had stock shocks and eibach...it was bouncy and terrible.
I put on konis with eibachs-stiffer, but still can't dampen properly–i have to get sams' springs for the best combo.

On my last ws.6, i had konis and stock springs-that was a GREAT ride!

I get all kinds of different opinions on the ride with stock shocks. The *best* I've heard is that my springs didn't ride really any different. But the thing is stock ride can be so variable from car to car depending on how weak the stock shocks actually are. They never start out great, but admittedly the SS/WS6 shocks are somewhat better. Those are the cars that have the best chance of working decently for ride (not so much handling), but they won't last forever and tend to go south pretty quickly.

I'm not a big fan of the stock ride, some are. So even when someone says the ride doesn't change, to me that's not a ringing endorsement. I'm glad the springs don't wreck the ride, we tried hard to make them tolerable while still giving the handling we want. To me though, and as you can see by these other posts the shocks are the key.

I just bought a set of sam's springs but i havent gotten to put them on yet. I had an eibach prokit and kyb agx's, i was prefectly content with that setup and it handled great but im hoping it will handle even better now. I want to upgrade to koni's as well but just have been spending money on other things.

When you get my springs on you'll have to let us know what you think (either way). So far I've not had anyone regret changing!

I had KYB AGX adjustables with sportline springs and my ride was never bouncy at all, it recovered very quickly from dips and bumps also handled extremely well, funny thing is i heard that alot that the ride is very bouncy and the shocks are crap before buying them and through the years of having them and to me and from experience i never felt that way about them. Maybe not as good as having Koni's but it was more then good for me. I did have other supporting mods as far as suspension was concerned, Strano front sway, 1le rear, adj pan bar, SFC, STB. Since my 93Z i have a 01 Z28 now, im not gonna track my car i have Bilstein shocks and gonna put on my eibach pro kits. I was lucky, when i purchased the car it came with the Bilstein shocks and got the Eibachs cheap just gonna put on a Adj pan. bar and sway bars. Im gonna most likely stay away from SFC's this time not sure i want to add more weight to the car and like i said i wont be tracking it anyway. Its really what you want to do with the car, if you want a street car or a track car its all preference.

To each his own. I certainly don't think AGX's are nearly as good as they should be, let alone Sportlines (yeck). The combination would make me very unhappy, but I've also been on better and can compare and contrast.

Koni 4/4 Koni Sport Shock set on-car adjustable $974.00

KYB AGX on car Adjustable set for $358

I have Koni's on my track car, I just bought KYB's for my 100k daily driver.

I plan on buying Strano springs next.

How you use the car and how much you have to spend matters.

Koni's are best no argument, but for a daily driver that price difference is too much to ignore. I value Sam's knowledge and experience.
