Pewter- 2000 Camaro SS
Lowering Project
Well, after several weeks of staring at my Koni SAs sitting in the floor, I finally installed them today with the help of Ed Blown Vert and JD_Z28. Ed supervised and JD helped turn a few wrenches. A big thanks goes out to those guys. I used the lower perch on the Koni's and did the hose mod on the back. There isn't much difference in ride height that I can tell so far, but just for the sake of whoring my car, I thought I would post some before and after shots. I'm hoping the car will settle and sit a bit lower after a few days.
BEFORE......
After.....

I've been told it will drop a bit more after I drive the car a couple of days. It just needs to settle a bit, I hope that's what happens.

Problem with the rear sitting evenly. The driver's side is about 1/2 inch higher than the passenger side. I can stick 4 fingers inbetween the fender well and the tire on the driver's side and only 3 on the passenger. Anyone have any ideas. I jacked up the car on the driver's side and looked at the spring and it is seated right on top and bottom.

I thought the Driver-Side was always a bit higher. Then once the driver gets in. It levels out.

My car was doing the samething until i put on an adjustable panhard bar. when i lowerd it the factory bar was to long causing the drivers side to sit slightly higher and the rearend had moved over to the passenger side slightly. Once i put the new bar in and centered the rearend the car sat fine. Btw i just used springs to lower my car.

I started looking at some old pictures of my car and recognized a difference between the driver and passenger side. It looks like I was unaware of a pre-existing difference from side to side. Maybe there isn't anything I can do about this difference in ride height, but I'm going to try and figure something out.....it's driving me nuts.
Here are the old pictures I am looking at.
