    Do you have Koni SAs?
If you do just move the lower spring seat down to the lower position, then you can have a mild front lowering with the factory front springs.

Or are you referring to the "Upper Mount Mod" ?

The "Upper Mount Mod" will give you back suspension travel lost from lowering, or allow you to lower it more.
If you have the Edelbrock front IAS shock/spring setup, or a GroundControl adj. spring seats, it will lower the car more, but otherwise with a factory/factory style spring it'll only give you more suspension travel. This was originally posted on ls1tech.com .

Yeah, the Koni SAs on the lower perch up front (about 3/4" drop), and the hose mod in the rear (1/2" to 3/4" drop) with the factory springs is a popular mod.
