    loud bang in rear area

As stated, when I hit bumps just right I get a heck of a bang coming from right rear area. Almost sounds like if you would imagine a window falling down in a door. I can hit the same bump 10 times and it will do it half the time. I ordered rear control arms, panard bar and a set of rear shocks. I know its none of these things but decided to do the rear suspension this year. Could it be a spring banging around?

It's possible. Do a good inspection and look for any areas of contact. It may even be something simple like the exhaust is contacting the axle, a broken exhaust hanger, ect.

after doing my SFC's i got the same issue... im pretty sure i didnt tighten my control arms enough because as well as you when i hit "some" bumps it clunks pretty good i would check your control arms out... make sure they are tight enough!!!

yep.....sounds like your control arms aren't torqued down enough. Retorque those and I bet the noise goes away. Remember to torque those with the suspension loaded.

Might also want to look at the size of the holes in your lcas and the hole size in the frame. They don't correspond, and when you hit a bump, the lcas move. At least in my case.

I'm guessing the exhaust is hitting where it goes over the axle or maybe your bump stop is deteriorated on that side.

Thanks guys. I'll check everything when I do my new control arms and shocks. I zipped those bolts on with an impact and thought I had them plenty tight but I will check.

Don't forget to check the bump stops too.

I had the same problem and was fixed when I did my LCA's so I agree with everyone else to check the LCA's. Bad bushings also could be the problem.
