Konis, Eibach Pro-Kit, 18" SSRs, UMI PHB
Well I spent about half the afternoon installing these upgrades. I tried Hotchkis springs, but they did not lower the SS as advertised so I sent them back and went with Eibachs, but now I think they lowered it too much. I used the lower perch on the Konis so I can gain 3/4" (in front) later if I want. The problem is I did NOT do the heater hose mod on the rear and it is sits low... but really just on one side. Check out pics 1 & 2 and compare them to 3 & 4. Pictures are only meant to show the difference in height so please excuse the quality.
I wish someone knew a definite reason as to why the passenger side sits lower than the drivers side on many Camaros. I've read so many responses and none apply to my car. I checked and double checked to make sure I didn't do anything that would contribute to the passenger side sitting about 1 inch higher than the drivers side.
It bugs me!Last edited by Mr. Anderson; 09-16-2007 at 04:05 AM.

I actually adjusted the PHB to match the oem for now. I'm taking it in for an alignment in the AM. But tell me how the PHB can affect height. I know it centers the rear end, but I didn't think it would take care of "leaning" problem. Did you have the same problem that was fixed by an adjustable PHB? If so, please let me know how the steps so I can correct this when I get home this afternoon. Thanks.

No, I was serious, remove them and measure on level ground from the ground to the top of the wheel well, see if it helps, at the very least your removing unnecessary weight. Try it, you have nothng to lose.
The only other thing I can think you might try is adding some hose to the top of the right spring, you can even get 1/4" thick compressor hose or sandblaster hose, though the inside diam. will be 1" which is no big deal, cause that don't matter, as long as it fits over the spring, it'll work.
Keep the manual and lug nut key in the glove compartment.

The panhard shouldn't be a reason for the Car to sit hire on just one side... I know this cause I rode mine for a day or 2 with it adjusted at Stock Rideheight...and the car sat flush... best I can say... is... maybe the Spring came with a Defect and is just not compressing at it should(most likely) ... or you forgot the spring perch on that side(unlikely)...

So I got it aligned and the guy at the shop said he checked out the leaning issue and found nothing that would cause it. The springs, struts, shocks etc. were installed correctly. He said most likely it was that way from the factory. He said not all F-Body cars sit evenly.
By the way I installed SFCs today and the difference is unbelievable. Solid feel, less rattles, etc. I went with UMI bolt-ins. I'll probably weld them later on.
I also had it dyno'd today and I was somewhat surprise. The first pull was 289 RWHP and the second was 299 RWHP. I thought is would easily be over 300. I guess it's time for a Tornado, Slick 50, Splitfire Plugs, Muffler Bearings and a Flux Capacitor.

It's a 6-Speed with no mods, except a Volant Cold Air Intake.
I'm thinking I need to start with an exhaust system.

Get an LS6 intake and some headers, do all the free mods and go back to dyno test.
Has the car ever been tuned? That alone would get you over 300 horsies.
