    Koni shocks are guaranteed to last the lifetime of your vehicle. Check out their Web site for info about that at http://www.koni.com/_cars/frame.html click on General Info then on Warrany on the left hand side of the page. I just pasted it below:

    Technology Warranty
    KONI warrants all new KONI shock absorbers to the original retail purchaser against defects in material and workmanship, excluding mounting rubbers, washers and bushings, when used under normal operating conditions. This will be either by repair or replacement of the defective product. KONI is not liable for costs that exceed the sole obligation as described in the preceding sentence.

    Not included, in any case, in the guarantee are deficiencies which arise from or are completely or partly caused by :

    • Improper instalment;

    • Normal wear and tear;

    Or / and shock absorbers that are installed :

    • As OE equipment on any vehicle;

    • On any vehicle that has been modified for a use other than or in addition to its originally use;

    • For any application that is not specified in the KONI literature;

    • On any vehicle that has been used off-road, for Racing or for any other driving competition;

    For further info on this subject please contact the KONI Importer in your country.

    what's the point of a warrenty if it doesn't cover shit except the product spontaneously combusting.

    No doubt....

    I just ordered Koni's from Sam Strano as well. Should be there when I get home tonight. Someone above mentioned that they heard the heater hose mod is not a good idea. Where did you hear that and why did someone advise against it? I ask because that is what I will be doing with my car (using the lower perch on the front and removing the isolator in the rear). I did not want a drastic drop so the 3/4 front - 1/2 rear drop is perfect for me.

    Thanks.

    i was told that..don't remember the reason my tech told me not to, something about "a part is made for a certain reason" but if you look on ls1tech they all have it done. to my knowlege it barely makes a difference

    Cool, thanks. I am getting my 3.73's installed by Tick on Monday and they will install the shocks at that time as well. Guess I will see how it turns out then.
    Thanks.

    On all my previous vehicles, that's just how fast they wore out. Get to 50k miles on a set and the car starts bouncing. I do most of my driving within Houston proper which means I do most of my driving on roads that should have been repaved 20 years ago.

    As far as the warranty goes, pretty much every part you buy comes with a lifetime warranty which only covers stuff like spontaneously combusting or something being broken when the item is delivered.

    Normal wear and tear will take its toll on something even as great as a Koni. That's why I'd want them to be rebuildable before I'd get 'em.

    so you bring up a good point. Do you wanna wear out 800$ set of shocks or 400$ shocks over the same amount of time.
