    Installing UMI Sway Bar Mounts...

Maybe Ramey can chime in here.

I'm looking at the UMI sway bar mounts (Heavy Duty Aluminum Sway Bar Mount Kit- 35mm & 22mm Sway Bar Kits [004845] - $199.99 : UMI Performance, Inc.) and they appear to be missing the little slit in the bushing that would allow them to be installed around the sway bar.

Anyone know if the pics are just inaccurate, or would you have to remove the sway bar and slide them on (I don't imagine this working very well, if they are as tight as I think they would be)?

Looking at the photo blown up a bit I can clearly see the slit in the urethane bushing on three of them. The one in the bottom right position is washed out a bit and much harder to see but it is there.

Now that you mention it, I think I see it, too. Is it on the right side of each one?

The two at the top of the photo (left and right) are both toward the inside edge. The two at the bottom of the photo have the slits to the outside edge. They are definitely there. Nothing to worry about.

Wow, sorry I missed this guys.

They are slotted and the bushing snaps right around the bar easily. Then the mount snaps onto the bushings.

Let me know if you need anything.

    Thanks for looking at UMI.

    Haha! No sweat, Ramey.

It's gonna be a minute before I can get my hands on any more parts for my car. Just unloaded a couple of months worth of pay on the powertrain.
