just ordered some of the 3 point SFC's...does the rear suspension need to be unloaded to install them or can the rear tires be sitting on ramps or something like that? Just need to know if I need to let the rear end hang there a little with a jack under it or if I can leave it loaded the entire time...thanks.

IIRC you need to have it loaded. At least for the weld on's 2 point.

You can have it on ramps, but the front and rear suspension needs to be loaded with the car as level as possible.

mine are going to be bolt in for now so I was going to get them bolted in "loose" and then drop the rear end onto the ground from the ramps with a jack and tighten everything up once it settles. Will that work?

As long as you can squeeze under there to hit the inner bolts, that should work.

Some scrap lumber and a couple of bucks at the hardware store for lag bolts:

Yep. Four (4) lag bolts per stand securing the 4" x 4" pieces, and then deck screws for the top plate and stops.

Looks like 9-10" x 15" form the pic. I would measure the tires and get as close to wedging the tire without having it be able to roll on the stand.

Been too long for me to remember. The top board is probably a 2" x 10", so that would be 9-1/2" wide or so. I would guess maybe 15" to 18" long from the pic.
