I'm really hoping some1 can answer this b4 2marrow
Does anyone know what size bolts come with the UMI 3 point sub-frame connectors, i ordered them about a year ago, and i seems when my dad and i were cleaning the garage sometime in the last year. the little baggy with all the bolts have gone missing. i just figured this out today, and tomorrow seems like the only time ill have for a very long time to do these. so i plan on going in the morning the pick up some bolts the same size, can anyone help me out I've have searched, cant find anything. again i need all the bolt sizes for the UMI 3 point Sub-frame connectors thank you.

Just go ahead and have them welded on.

You won't be able to bolt them in wihtout the two plates. No stable way to secure the front mounting point without them.
You could weld on like suggested.

I wouldn't trust nuts, bolts and washers to hold the front of my sfcs on. The plates spread the force out more than a washer will. If you did that, at least you should have used grade 8 hardware. I've done some quick fixes before, but that one is too much for me. You should get the correct hardware or have them welded in. Your safer leaving them off the car until the proper install can be done.

they are all grade 8 hardware, the washers i put on have the same surface area as the plates do. therefore the same amount of force.. and the nuts have more threads then the plates do. plus with-in the next 4 weeks I'm having them welded on. just had to get them to school, installed.

The washers will not distribute the load in the same manner as the bolt in plates. And unless you are using some very thick washers there will be a certain amount of twisting applied to the bolt when you corner. Possibly enough to get a bolt to bend or even shear. You might get by with it for a while, but there is some risk to it. Get the sfcs welded in asap.

well i just ordered the plates from umi today, figured it will be a quick and easy job to take out the nuts and replace them with the plates, have to go under and make sure everything is still tight any ways.

Best way to go until you can get the weling done. No put in trashing the car because of a quick fix. Good luck with your ride.
