Granatelli Camaro/Firebird Chassis ''G-Load'' Lateral Brace??

I need something to replace my standard (lateral brace??) bracket (the black squiggly thing) under the driveshaft and torque arm, because it wont fit with my 3 inch TSP Y-Pipe. I was looking at the Granatelli Camaro/Firebird Chassis ''G-Load'' Lateral Brace. Is this thing designed to provide clearance for headers and a 3 inch Y? Are there any others that will work better?

heres a link for a picture

Alot of people don't run one at all, like me. Mine hit my exausht and rattled so I just removed it. I really don't think it does much of anything, the only benifit of the one you posted is the drive shaft saftey loop.

With the spacers that are provided installed you should have more than enough clearance.

This is without them installed and note the amount of clearance.
