Mystic Teal- 1999 Trans am
Going airborne in your Trans Am!!!
(Why I wouldn't recommend it) I have this short straightaway that leads to a steep hill near my house. I've jumped it before a few times back when I had an STI, but none of the other cars I had made it all the way off the ground. Anyway, today when I was driving to get my car inspected I couldn't resist and punched it, brought the car up to about 100mph when I reached the top and it launched, I was airborne for a split second and then when I came back down, the suspension bottomed out and I heard a loud pop. The rest of the drive the car seemed to pull to the right a little. So anyway, when I go to get my car inspected he tells me that I need to have both of my front tie rods replaced, "Oh that's what that noise was."
Afterthought: It could have been a lot worse, and thank god they didn't completely break off because it would have caused me to spin out and possibly hit another car or done more serious damage. These cars are definitely not rally cars and are probably better off sticking the drag strip.Last edited by SP33Daddict; 12-07-2010 at 11:42 AM.

One you tweak the body on these cars it's never the same, I would suggest not doing that.
Vid or it didn't happen
