    Front Upper Control Arms

Ok, this has been bugging me for a long time, and it is a really dumb question. When you buy after market upper arms do they come with the piece that the shock slips into? I never see a picture of both pieces.

I was wondering because the last time I had mine apart that piece wasn't looking so good. I'm sure one day I will save money and be in the mood to replace it, like way in the future. I certainly don't want to go through the front suspension any time soon. I've had my fill for a very long time.

    thanks

    darn, that's what i figured.

where do you get new ones, GM Parts Direct or some where like that?

I was amazed at how fast water gets trapped in there and begins rusting everything.

I should have put dielectric grease or something rubber safe in there last time I had it a part. Now it is too late because no way I am taking those suckers off again.

if you have a burning desire to replace them, then dealer or gmparts direct.

lol...burning like a hole in my wallet. Nah, just curious. I really don't want to see my shocks out of the car again for a very long time.

I was just curious about the parts. I thought it would be a great part for them to make as part of replacing the control arms, oh well.

i wish. The bone yards near me never have f-bodies. They seem to be among the top cars that get scavenged by the u-pull-it and sold over the counter or on ebay. One of the local places near me was bought by LQK or LKQ one of those.
