Sebring Silver Metalic- 2002 Camaro Z28
Front lower control arms
I was talking to a guy at the parts store today about the clunk that has returned to my car.
He mentioned I may want to look at the bushing that is used on the lower A-Arm that mounts to the body. He said this may be similar to the older F-Bodies, but wasn't 100% sure.
So my question is what bushings are up front?
I know there are two upper control arm bushings, two for each side.
I think there are two front lower control arm bushings, two for each side?
It looks like there is some kind of body mount bushing, one on each side?
thanks for the help

wow, i called two dealerships before they closed. The first one said you have to buy the whole control arm, ok....Sure I will fork over 270 dollars each for some rubber parts, lol..
The second one said the front bushing is discontinued by GM, thus no part number. Great.
So as far as I can tell it seems like the front control arms have 4 bushings each side, two for the upper, and two for the lower. The lower has a front and rear.
The part number I got for the front lower rear is 22156434. I hope its right. They seem to always talk very fast and get grumpy when you ask them to repeat the numbers.
So how am I doing so far trying to figure out the parts?
thanks

triple-black- 2000 CamaroSS convertible
if you have to fork $ for GM stock A-arms, just get the UMI a-arms.
I have them and are great.
There are also some polyurethane kits for the front suspension you can look into to replace the stock bushings.Eugenio_SS
almost stock triple-black 2000 SS convertible with 17x11s on all 4 w/ 315s at the track or on the street with 18x10.5s on all 4 w/ 315s: (1), (2)

no kidding, I mean 270 bucks for one arm. That dude was high man.
Well it turns out i was able to dig around and get the parts. There are 8 bushings total, upper, lower, left, right, that kind of thing. But most of you guys knew that.
I don't even know what got me into to doing this over the weekend. I was supposed to buy a shed and go to the beach. Instead that crazy voice said replace the bushings and try to fix that clink sound.
Boy, what was I thinking. It's taking Napa two freakin days to press out the old bushings and press in the new ones. I guess they are taking this labor day weekend thing seriously, lol... I don't blame them. I'm just cranky because my car is on stands taking up the whole garage, . Of course I would rather my car take up the garage than what I've seen in pack rat houses, ouch.
