    You'll be ok untill you start going for the high RPM clutch dumps. That's when it gets dicey, especially if you have sticky tires.

    OTOH, my friend has a 67 Camaro with the 8.2" rear end with 3.73's in front of an LM7/T56. He broke the output shaft on a 5k rpm dump with MT DR's on the back. Yet another weak link unless you "Viperize" the tranny.

    My 02 is an A4. It's more frendly on the rear but not by much.

    Decided to go with the girdle and LCA's for now..
    2000 Z28 M6 125,XXX: SLP lid, K&N, 10.4mm Taylor plug wires, Frost Tune, P&P TB, NGK Iridium plugs, Magnaflow Cat back, BMR SFC's and tower brace, TSP LT's and ORY, LS6 intake, MAC Girdle, UMI LCA's and Panhard, LS7 Clutch Kit, so far..

    I recommend a girdle and also welding the axle tubes to the pumpkin, that's what I've done and no problems whatsoever yet. But, mine is a dailey driver with 2-3 times a year at the track on street tires, best 60 ft of *only* 1.98 with a 12.89 @ 109.85 best so far 1/4....

    thanks for the tip, mine is a fair weather DD that will rarely if ever get to the track, but i wanted more power.. lol

    Both are easy installs, did them both as well as the Panhard rod. I put the LCA's in the freezer first to shrink them down, they slipped right in place. Compare them to the stock ones, kind of funny to see the difference.
