finaly got my car lowered
i got all my suspension on th car now and it looks and handles and looks 10X better. here are some pics of before and after. let me know what you think

everything went on easy but im glad i had a lift to use or it would have been a pain the the ass. nex on the list of to do's is rear gears and then the 6.0 change

Question form a Nube from Garland also. What springs did you go with? The Stranos? I'm wanting to drop my car a bit also and really try to do my homework up front. Any complaints on the springs you did use at this point? Any major mods to the car?

What springs and shocks did you use?00 ss blk m6 " STOCK" strano springs, slp bilstein shocks, adj LCA, adj panhard bar, relocation brackets, 2 point SFCs welded,OEM zo6 rims black, magnaflow exhaust, CME exhaust,E/cutout, slp grille, custom front plate mount, HIDs, whistler mod, side moldings delete, slp air lid, ported and polished TB, strut tower brace, 3.73s gears, and some other parts to list!
next to come,4.10s,ls7 clutch, ms3 or 228r cam, ported 243s, ls6 intake, ls6 oil pump. ls2 timing chain, longtube headers no cats, with a tune..
02 tahoe Z71 blacked out
00 jeep grand Cherokee limited on 22s.

Springs would be Strano and Shocks would be Bilsteins....going strictly by the colors. PHB looks like UMI possibly

Sorry, my 01 SS. My 79 is already lowered in the front and am not going to drop the back so I can bolt on the DR's when needed. I'm looking for a nice even drop on my 01 and have the SLP chrome 17's on it that are perfect. I need new shocks anyhow and thought I'd drop it while I was at it.

Strano's are the best lowering spring. Ideally though, you would want upgraded shocks as the stockers will not compliment any lowering spring very well...so I've heard. You can always do the hose mod in the rear to get 3/4" drop. Originally Posted by Wikd79Z

I dont want anyone misunderstanding me, I think its hot looking, however it looks almost the same height!! It will look even hotter if it was dropped another 1" all the way around. Looking at your pics though, I see your exhaust IS pretty low and large in diamter,....so...............looks good the way it is. LOL!
