I would agree regarding the Bilsteins. I got mine through Strano. Strano has a great spring combo with Koni or Bilstein shocks. The advice I received from the majority was if I couldn't go for the Koni then get the Bilstein product.

the more i read about the agx the more i think i might return them. I think i will save for the blisteins for the front. Now, can blisteins be used with OEM springs? or just lowering springs? Does blisteins come with everything I need as far parts? I heard i have to buy the plate were the springs sit on. I don't have the OEM shocks anymore and the monroes are part of the shock. I have to figure out soon I have been extending this for quite a bit and won't like if the shocks fail.

I will start looking around for the best deal with blistens HD's and I guess I can get OEM springs. I can't afford to get a new set of springs from stranos. hopefully it doesn't cost me alot to return the AGX's.

Those are "designed" to go with SLP spec'd eibachs. If the rear springs don't sag on yours (common on some eibach's) they should make a good combination.

The HD set is valved for stock ride height according to Sam. I have that set with my stock springs. A lot of folks also use those and the SLP's with good results on a mild lowering spring like Strano's, Eibach Pro's, Hotchkis...1-1.5". I don't think there is a huge difference between the HD's and SLP Bilsteins, so I would shop by price. The HD's were less expensive than the SLP's when I bought mine.

Thanks Tre. I will need to find out if i can reuse the dust boot, spring perch and i guess a bump stop. I think i will keep it stock height. I don't know if the monroes need a spring perch to install them.

so far the best deal i have seen is from Eshocks.com for a set of bilsteins HD's has been $456.50 shipped. That's all 4. If I want the fronts only is $283 shipped. I have seen other cheaper but I think they are the OEM replacemment ones. the part numbers don't match the HD's like Eshocks site.

When I get my motor/trans put together, I'll probably see you around town. Just a bit NW in Lady Lake.

Bob at Brute Speed and KYSPEED are also good vendors that usually have competitive pricing or do price matching as well.

The bilsteins shocks arrived yesterday. I installed the rears. I'm waiting on the bumpstop/boot covers for the fronts in case the current ones are bad. I guess I will use the eibach springs or just buy new OEM springs not sure yet. Jon did you received my PM?

Okay I install all bilsteins shocks. The fronts are using the eibach springs for now. So far is better than what I had before and it's not bottoming out. It feels a little stiffer and I can feels the road imperfections. I will test drive it with eibach this week. If I don't like it I will put the OEM springs in the front.

I have a question, the front bilsteins struts come with a nut and washer. where does the washer go? Is the washer the 1st thing to be put in the strut shaft? then the bump stop, the boot and the strut mount? I think I put the washer 1st and I also put a washer on top before the nut. How important is this washer? Could it cause issues if it is not put in?

After you replace those, your chiropractor is going to be out of work.
