Feedback on KYB adjustables versus Konis

I installed some Konis tonight on my rear and went cruising around afterwards. What a difference it made. Much smoother ride, no bouncing, never heard that thud noise if you hit a hole no issues at all, just smooth cruising. I am very happy I made the switch. Night and day difference.

I still have those junk shocks on the front, they will be going away soon as well. Worst part I have ever put on my Camaro.

    My life is a
    Ben Stiller movie.

I wonder if KYB's were any better than the Monroe's I found on mine?

I think he wants to know if your "testing" has included all 3 shocks on the same set of springs. Clearly it does compare AGX vs. Koni on the same springs, but I think he's wanting a idea of how the AGX's were different from stock as well.

AGX and Konis both tested on BMR springs.

Did you ever run stock shocks with the BMR springs?

WHY? That's like running nitrous on a lawn-mower. Nothing good will come of it.

    So true.
Yet so many do it. Myself included. I ran ProKit springs with decarbons for over a year.
    Terrible.

    Koni made my T/A happy.

Common... Monroe's are worse than KYB.
Monroe's are like having shocks filled with water instead of oil.

I have the Eibach Pro and KYB setup and I hate it. Slamming all the time... What Koni shock model do I need to get. And should I go to H&R springs also?

It's not quite as simple as that..... Then again it's not that complicated.

I'd ask which KYB's you have first (there are different ones), and if you have AGX's, what settings you are running and which you'd tried.

Your springs aren't ideal, the shocks aren't either. But depending on what you have, the ride troubles can be the shocks, or the springs... or both.

The Pro-kits you have (I'm guessing LS1 version) are not firm enough for the amount of lowering you get, which makes your bumpstops come into play more often and harder. But good shocks can soften that hit and damp the impact out much better than poorly valved, or poorly set adjustable shocks (again, don't know which KYB's you have, but none are great).

I sell H&R, and Eibach, and Hotchkis, and others.... and we had our own springs made (by a reputable company) because I felt I could better than what was around out there. But we have options to look at.

I think that both things could stand to be changed, but the honest to god truth is you have more shock issues than spring issues. However, if you're going to bother pulling that front apart it might be best to just do it right.

I'd be happy to talk options, and about what the car is not doing well. Usually I can find a nugget of info that can lead me to a more solid recommendation.

I have the KYB-AGX, I have set from lowest to hardest ranges with no result differences. I also know that the tires that are on there are too large (275/40-18), will be changing out to (265/35-18) shortly. I am also having trouble with wheel hopping from this setup. I have all the sub frame hardware in place, and lower control arms in lower hole in brackets.
