CTS-v brakes with 20s
I haven't seen too many people talk about the CTS-v big brake set-up on this forum, and for those guys that run 20s and hate all that empty space in there, this was a relatively cheap upgrade and stop way better than the eradispeeds I had before. Just did the swap last week. I did end up having to run a 15mm spacer bc the wheel spokes barely touched the calipers, but doesn't stick out any.
Still need to figure out a bracket for the rears though.Last edited by peterlawl84; 04-14-2010 at 05:25 PM.

Well I guess Im going to need your help again because Im in the market for new rotors and pads now. Whats the first step that I need to take. Pics of the 20"s are coming soon, the rims are still growing on me because they are black but we will see what everyone else thinks when I post them.

Whats up man?
Depends on what you are wanting to run? Do you plan on keeping the stock calipers and just upgrading the rotors and pads?
I kept warping the stock rotors, switched to powerslots...warped those. I had been running the eradispeed plus rotors on the fronts and they worked well.
As for pads, I've been told either EBC or Hawk pads.
If you want to upgrade to a big brake set-up...you can buy off the shelf kits (expensive) or do either the CTS-v or C5/C6 z06 set-ups. The CTS-v are 4 piston brembos that are a direct bolt-on. The C6Z06 are PBR 6 piston and require brackets. But both use 14in C6z06 rotors.Last edited by peterlawl84; 04-19-2010 at 02:57 PM. Reason: parts sold

Right now the rears are stock calipers with baer eradispeed rotors. I'm hoping someone offers some brackets to bolt up the CTS-v rears soon. I talked with Kore3, they said they could make some one-off brackets but that I would have to pay for the R&D...unless maybe they get enough interest to make a kit like they do for the C6z06 calipers, in which case the price would be more reasonable.
