Nothing beats the rigidty of a cage or roll bar lol... Though some subframes connectors and strut tower braces front and/or rear we stiffen her right up..

Look into the double diamond SFC's from SLP and Kenny Brown, definately worth the money. It squares your entire floor pan not just the frame rails. Look into a cage and a STB as well.

What’s better, weld in or bolt on?

    Strut tower brace

Depends on your goals. I would like to get SLP's because they're awesome, but they wont work with true duals so I'll be getting some BMR sfc's. They should work just fine. There have been plenty fast cars running BMR's and similar sfc's.

I would also recommend a nice torque arm.
