    calipers?

are 4 piston calipers worth getting over just reusing the stock 2 pistons? i need new rotors and pads, so i figure i would get a set of 4 piston calipers, but do they make you stop any better than the stock ones? also, can you use 4 pistons in the front and 2 piston calipers in the back, or do you need the same system all around.

I got a set from Stainles Steel Brake Company, it was just over $1000, and it has 3-pistons up front. It came with slotted rotors all around, 3-piston calipers and relocation brackets, and pads all around. I have been very happy with it. Took about 2 hours to install with a friend helping, and I went to DOT5 fluid.

If you ever intend to take your car on a road course, resist the temptation to get cross-drilled rotors. They'll crack at the cross drills when they get hot, and then you need new rotors. The cross-drilled stuff is for show or dragstrip only, not any serious stopping. I've seen at least 5 sets of Baers cracked at a track day.
