    Question Bumpsteer/groove tracking issues

My "02 seems to have bumpsteer issues and tracks ruts or highway grooves. The tires are BFG G-Force sports, the car has the SLP Ultra performance suspension option. the tire wear is even and tracks straight on smooth roads. Any ideas? bumpsteer kit? different tires?

Wide tires will tend to due that especially on roads that are really cracked and crowned.

So..., not fixable???? Lots of cars have wide tires and rims. My '72 Chev pickup had 50's Series BFG and had no problems with tracking grooves, but it wasn't lowered, so I'm thinking the newer car should be able to be fixed......

I also had this problem... but it is the tire.. not the suspension that is at fault.. the tires you are using have two deep grooves running through the middle of the tire which in my opinion leads to the tracking problem you are seeing. I also tried those tires and many others on my car and im happy to say that the BFG g-Force T/A KDW i have on my car don't have that problem at all anymore. The tire wear on this tire is phenomenal compared to several other tires i have used in the past. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....orce+T%2FA+KDW

I looked at the BFG g-Force T/A KDW on Tire rack, some of the reviews complained about the tire being noisy.... Do the tires make more noise then any of the others youv'e ran?

No.. not at all.. I've had pretty bad luck with tires tracking and bump steering.. I am very happy with the BFG g-Force T/A KDW and i have already been through two sets front and rear. They wear the longest, have great traction and do very well in the rain. I have never had road noise issues with them. I would recommend them and i would buy them again.

Some tires are just worse then others !
I had some Pirelli tire that were really bad with following ruts in the road.
