    Bump Stops

    1999 Pontiac Trans Am WS6

I just bought this car and I am trying to figure what all this guy did to it..I am working on rear suspension issues now. Where are, or would have been located, are the bump stops for this car. Also, I need input on Stano 1.2 springs. This car has Eibach pro's, which I do not like, with KYB AGX shocks. Car is slamming in rear on every bump. Give me some input. Thanks

    My life is a
    Ben Stiller movie.

This would get a better responce in the suspension section, but...

Bump stops are [or should be] directly above the rear axle. You should be able to look up and visualize where the axle could/would hit the car's frame-there should be a bumper there. I don't know why anyone would take it out? Maybe there are ones for lowered application-which if you find one, let me know, b/c i would love it.

KYB's are junk and stranos' springs won't help. he'll sell you a set of shocks from KONI that will for sure. I have Koni's and Pro kit and love the way it handles on a near-softest setting.

I am beginning to think the same about KYB. Do you have recomendation for which Koni shock to go with the Eibach springs. Do they need to be adjustable. Also I have found that the tires he has put on are 275/40-18, which are an inch taller than stock, could be an issue also. Thanks for the response. I have reposted thread in suspension section also.

Stupid question but did you adjust the firmness of the shocks and struts? That might help ya out alittle.

Tried it all. Have set from 3 to 8. Strano's said to set them on the rear around 3 to 5. I was also told that Eibach springs can be inconsistent in their processing, that some springs produced could cause car to be lower than stated claim. I believe these springs are lowering my rear as much as 1.75, with taller tires that is too low. Any knowledge of H&R springs? Also the wheel hop is killing me. Comments??
