    better ride quality without lowering..

I know just about everyone here recommends Konis and Stranos, but I really don't want my car any lower, is there a good shock and spring combination that will keep me near stock hieght, but will also be a vast improvent over factory equipment in ride and handling?

Bilstein's with the factory springs are a pretty decent setup over the crappy factory shocks.

Bilsteins or konis if you can swing it. Just keep your stock springs.

Front/rear sway bars and a set of decent shocks will vastly improve your handling. Do NOT waste money buying springs if you are not lowering the car.

any difference between normal Bilsteins and SLP spec'd ones? normally I try to stay as far away as possible from anything that carries the letters 'SLP'...

I believe the SLP Bilstein's are valved to match a 1" lowering spring from Eibach.
