Before & After Pics Strano Springs & Koni STR T Shocks

Well I have finished installing new Strano springs & Koni STR T shocks. Also installed new spring mounts & isolators. I'm not sure but it seems that the springs dropped the car more than others I have seen.

    Before

    After

It's snowing outside. We have about six inches so these are the best I can do for now. Just wondering what you all think. I didn't take any measurements before the install. Wish I would have.

How's the ride with the springs? Been thinking about swapping from hotchkis to stranos.

I only got to drive it a couple miles so far. From that short ride you can tell it's stiffer than stock but not harsh. The car doesn't feel "floaty" over bumps just solid. I didn't push it too hard on the twisty roads because there was still some small pebbles and stuff from the snow we had earlier. I could tell that the car could be pushed much harder than with the stock springs. I'm sure that the new shocks have a lot to do with that as well. I wish I could have taken it for a longer drive. I really didn't want to go home, was enjoying the car.

Cool...thanks. I'm feeling better about this now. I guess I'm just not used to walking into the garage and seeing it lower.

You'll really feel better about it once you drive it...thats when you'll notice the big difference.

What setting did you put the fronts and rears on? I have my rears set at full soft and my fronts set to 2-3 sweeps from full soft.

Stance looks just fine I think. You'll appreciate it after driving it around and taking corners

The Konis I have are not adjustable. STR T's. Glad to hear that the stance looks right.

Oops. Missed that. I'll have to look those up as I'm not familiar with them.

Edit - I just read about them. Let us know how you like them after you get some miles on them. They look like a nice upgrade for the cost!

I drove a Strano Koni customer car at Pittsburgh International on the big track. It was an LT1 automatic car so the power wasn't huge. Basically it handled awesome and stuck like glue. Especially exciting was how hard you could lean on the rear tires and it would just stick.

Then the guy drove it across PA home...

Koni just put all of their shocks on sale. I'm having a hard time not upgrading to new strano springs and konis shocks. Thinking the str.t line since I don't ever take it to a track. Plus it seems to be sitting higher after putting the S60 in the rear. But could be suspension just hasn't settled back in place.

I've always heard that the s60 makes a car sit a little higher in the rear. Not sure why, but I've seen that mentioned a bunch of times over the years.
