632 BigBlock Looking for advice

Hello, my buddy is in the process of doing up a 1981 z28. He is putting in a 632 bigblock 1000 hp, with 850 torque. He loves the handling of my 03 ZO6, and wishs to go more that route than a 1/4 mile car. Any advice that you could could tell me would be great that I could pass on. He has not bought any suspension stuff at all yet. I also believe that he is doing a minitub.

Well, it's going to be tough to get the same "feeling" of a Z06 in a Z28. It's a totally different suspension setup. I'd recommend checking into UMI products, and Global West. The chassis is going to require a lot of stiffening and bracing to handle that much power and torque. That's going to transfer vibration and road feeling into the cabin. Good luck.

What about Hotchkis? Would this do the job?

Hotchkis is good too. I have a few of their componants on my car as well. I'm not sure what all is in the kit you picture, but I'd have no problem using any of their stuff.
