    2002 Camaro Rear Shocks

OK, so I have been having some squeaking in the back of my 2002 Camaro SS and the car seems to be riding a little rough in the back end. I think the rear shocks are old and are sticking a little bit. So, I figure it's time to change. My car has the original factory shocks in it and it does not have the SLP suspension package (only SLP option missing ).

Anyway, I was wondering what shocks you guys recommend for this car. I would just like a nice performing shock that might be a little better than stock. It's not a race car, it's my daily driver but I figure that since it's time to change them...it never hurts to make a little improvement.

Do you have a budget in mind, and this is going to be on stock springs, correct?

    Yes, this is stock springs. I haven't given a budget much thought...but I'm a student so I can't spend a ton because I don't have it.

I like my KYB's, also on my 4.8 but those aren't the adjustable. Cost 1/2 the price of KONI's. If you aren't going to autocross save your cash. If you like spending money, go KONI.

I would go look at the adjustable KYB AGX shocks. Thats what I plan to pickup when I lower my car and I hear alot of great things about them, not to mention they are cheap.

Would you recommend these even if I want to keep the stock height?

The shocks yea, I know a few people who have them and they are adjustable to so in case you wanna mess around with springs or lowering later on you could. Ride comfort is pretty good to and there not expensive.

If planning to lower I would go with the bmr springs or strano springs. One or the other, whichever is cheaper at the time basically because they're both great springs. If your not lowering then I guess just get normal stock springs? lol
