Don't worry about it, just be smart and be safe on the road.

I made the mistake of lowering my car with springs without changing shocks, bad choice. I replaced my stock shocks with Bilstein HD's, not bad but they wore out prematurely. Now I have on order Ground Control CoilOvers matched with SLP revalved Bilstein's. I can lower the car to my specifications and have single rate spring instead of the progressive rate springs currently offered by most spring manufacturers. I would go no higher than a 400lb spring in front and a 150lb spring in the rear.

Yes there would be a problem. the factory shocks are not meant to be lowered. Think about it you drop your car 1.5 to 2 inches what has just happened to your shock???? I will tell you they are already 1.5 to 2 inches into there dampening travel meaning you basically do not have shocks on your car anymore. All I can say is that if you guys want you car to look cool then drop it by all means. If youy want your ride nice and comfortable then I would not lower it, once again this is all my personal opionon based on having spent 700+ dollars to look cool. BY the way I used the pro kit to drop my car.
