    67 gmc/01 sierra

    will a t5 trans mate up to a 4.8l?

    hey guys im looking for the answer to this question everywhere and have no luck.so i was hoping you guys could help.im building a custom 67 gmc with a 4.8l out of a 2000 sierra and i have a t5 trans from a 85 s10 that was given to me.im looking for info on bolting it up to the newer style motor.will it work?if so what do i need to make this happen.thanks for any info

    The short answer is no. The long answer is...yes anything is possible but in this case there isn't an easy way to do it. It would require some or a lot of customization. Also T5 sucks and doesn't belong behind a V8. Not a strong transmission.
