Blue- 1999 Trans Am
Why is my T56 hard to shift?
So my 99 Trans Am has nearly 200,000 miles on it now and this is only the 3rd thing to ever go wrong on this car. A water pump and alternator were the only two previous.
My transmission has become increasingly difficult to shift. Every gear. Every speed. When normal driving shifting it sometimes feels as tho it is stuck IN a gear. It is hard to pull it out of the current gear and grinds going into the next. Even from a standstill it grinds going into 1st or reverse. It feels as tho I am not pressing the clutch all the way down, but I surely am.
I vaguely remember hearing of this before. I did some searching but did not find what I thought I remembered. A clutch slave cylinder? I'm not sure. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
