Pro 5.0 and don't look back!! You want a shifter with stoppers so you don't "overthrow" a gear.

Can you use the Leather Hurst Shift knob with the Pro 5.0 and Lou's short stick?

Pro 5.0 is the best shifter ive ever had, right now i have the hurst and im ok with it but in the future would upgrade to a 5.0 with the angled Lou's short stick, yes agreed with above the knob will fit.

pro 5.0 all the way, i have that with the short stick - works great, just remember to use lok-tight on the bolts, trust me.
i had a b&m ripper in my old t-bird sc, that was good too but its hard to compare, totally different animal

Just upgraded my Hurst to a Pro 5.0 with Tremec brushed aluminum knob. Fits in stock boot, install in 2hrs, great shifter. Havent missed a shift with it.

Just changed out my Pro 5.0 for a MGW and all I can say is WOW!!!! Amazing- I knew the shifts would be shorter but also the sideways movement in neutral is next to nothing! A whole new feel.Although expensive it is well worth the money IMHO.

I have the Pro 5.0 also! One hell of a shifter!
I was reading in a magazine about the MGW short shifter... Has anyone tried that shifter?

Midnight Blue- 2001 SS SLP
5.0 Shifter
....yes, the 5.0 is fantastic...I think somewhere in the promotion material they state "guaranteed not to miss 3rd. gear" or something too that effect.
I cut down the stick by 1.5" and placed the original leather ball on top.
I have hammered the 5.0 consistently for almost the entire 37K miles on the car with no issues. Great product for sure.
Regards,
Lance

I agree the PRO 5.0. I have one on my mustang and my camaro and will not own a manual car without one.

I have an aftermarket Hurst billet shifter with solid stops. I'm pretty happy with it as I haven't missed a shift with it yet. I also reused the Hurst knob from the OEM Hurst shifter that came with the car.
If anyone is missing a shift, maybe a driver mod might be in order?

I have it and it's a great shifter. I have tried the hurst billet and pro 5 they are good shifters but not as nice as the MGW IMO. Quality is top notch installation was a breeze the shifter looks like it belongs in the car, unlike the others. It's a little pricey but no regrets worth the extra $$$.

He didnt say the Hurst didnt look like it belonged just that the one he has looks like it belongs there. Besides is 2010, Hurst??? Its not 1969 anymore, out with the old in with the new friends.
