    V6 T5 in a 3rd gen

Like the title says, would a t5 out of a 94 bird work in a third gen with the v8 bellhousing from a third gen? I can get the trans for free, so I thought if it would work, I may change over my A4 to a manual when the auto goes out.

If it is the same as the manual in the 3rd gen it is limited in how much torque it can hold. What engine is in your car? Should be the same.

The V6 T5 gears are different than the T5 V8 ratios. The V6 T5 is rated much lower in torque capacity( 240-260lb-ft VS 300 or so for the v8) . It should have no problem fitting , however.
