transmission rebuild kits + clutch and flywheel

so my 98 Trans Am WS6 6-speed just cleared 80,000 miles, and I'm the third owner..

The 5th gear syncros are starting to grind and the clutch is on it's way out. It's time to rebuild the transmission and get a new clutch and flywheel. I need suggestions.

    very true,

the car is stock right now and I plan to add suspension and brake upgrades soon and then an STS turbo kit in 2009. I track (road courses, no drag strips for me) the car maybe 3 times a year but for the most part it's a summer cruiser.

I'm getting some nasty grinding when I downshift from 6th to 5th and I have a little expendable cash at the moment so I want to just rebuild the whole transmission and install a new clutch while I'm at it.

I'm a very Do It Yourself person so the prospect of tearing into the transmission doesn't scare me, I'm just looking for a nice rebuild kit and wondering if anyone has clutch suggestions.

there is a place i can't up the website but look on google for the gear box and they have a master overhaul on them... i heard what you can do is cryro freeze some of the syscros to make them better at taking abuse, as for clutch and flywheel do a LS7 clutch and a LS2 lighten flywheel i have heard some GREAT stories with those combo

im planning on doing that with my tranny
