Transmission rebuild in AZ?
Does anyone know a good, reliable place to get a transmission rebuild in AZ? Im having issues with 3rd gear. I think it may be a fork or synchro. Im looking for a complete rebuild and for a reasonable price.

Top Gear Motorsports in Gilbert. They're a very reputable shop. They specialize in GM cars. http://www.topgearms.com/

Go down to 43av. just south of Indian School it's called Sav-On Transmission.
The owners name is Ernie and builds MANY race tranny's and will be good on your wallet un like others in the Valley. Tell him I sent you over their.
Sav-On Transmission

Ooh I've heard of that place also. Thats true that a shop like that is probably cheaper. Top Gear is a big, top of the line equipment kind of garage. They're kind of expensive.

i'm not sure what your getting at by that. All shops use snapon/matco tools for the most part. I havent been able to find better prices then from sean at top gear and he is one of the only people i would trust with my car. He works clean and knows what he is doing.

don't get me wrong...i've had work done on my car at top gear a few times now. its a great place and i definately trust sean with my car. I'm just saying I've been to little hole in the wall shops with equipment that all looks like its out of the 70s that can do as good as work for way cheaper than top gear or any other shops. I still have work done on my car at Top Gear because I like how professional it looks there (newer looking equipment, lifts, storefront, etc.) It makes me feel like I know they're going to be there and have my back if i ever had any problems with their work.

lol just wait to you go into a hole in the wall shop and get something done and they screw up. Seans price are cheaper then most shops and cheaper then the reputal shops. I do most of my own work but there are certain things i wont touch/do. I've gone to gear head, top gear, psr, and az dyno for work and top gear was cheaper then them all and work was 100x better.
