    Tranny Rebuild, Clutch and Flywheel Recommendations

    Hey,

    I'm in need of recommendations for a Clutch/Flywheel setup and a shop for a tranny rebuild. My car is a 2000 Z-28. It's got ~410RWHP and 375RWTQ. As of right now I'm running a Cartek clutch with an SLP Billet steel flywheel. This setup has been pretty good but it's definitely time for some maintenance as shifting at higher rpms has become impossible. This leads me into pulling the tranny and having it completely rebuilt as it's completely stock. Who would you guys recommend for a rebuild and what clutch/flywheel setup?

    When I was at Six Speed Inc about to get my tranny rebuilt I asked about clutches and they suggested a Spec 3 for me or the McLeod.

    You think like I do, but it was they recommended against it, but my needs are a bit different then some since I drive my car alot and have been known to put 3k in a month. I do trust what Amber at Six Speeds says though, they let me out of the shop without paying a dime and I was thinking a rebuild was needed. That and I know they have seen alot more T56s then me

    the spec 3+ is ok to slip I have one, and there are no complaints about it from me at all what so ever. and it has taken a lot of abuse so far from me

    Why wouldn't you consider another Cartek? I'm curious because that's the clutch I'm thinking of.

    I'd go Mcleod. Had mne for 5 years or so and no problems. Still holds 6,000rpm dumps on ET Streets.
