tick master/ should I flip the reservoir spout
Look at the photo. Did they install the reservoir spout loosely and upside down so I need to rotate it to match the original or is it a newer design?

No...you have them upside down in the picture. The shaft going inside the car that attaches to the pedal should be pointing up.

Then should I rotate the hydraulic line to point down and the reservoir up?

No, you have the entire master cylinder upside down and the line going the wrong way. Turn the entire thing over so the reservoir is on top the line is going to the left. It installs in the car like that with the line pointing towards the engine and the shaft at an upward angle towards the upper dash.
