    Throw-out bearing maybe?

So sometimes now when i have the clutch in, or am letting it out, theres like a growling kind've sound. It doesn't sound like it's grinding gears or anything..it's not as loud as that. but i'm thinking it may be the throw-out bearing. Anybody got any ideas?

I have that too sometimes. It is either the throwout or the pilot bushing.

I don't mean to high-jack your thread but what is it when you get a bad vibration when you let of the gas or let it coast in neutral? I've got this problem and it only does it from say 50mph+. Any ideas?

depending the year, 4th gen f-bods have pilot bushings some have pilot bearings.

I know 01-02 had a pilot bearing, cars prior had a bushing. cant remember which years exactly.

a bad vibration, can be mean things, from a bad pinion angle to bad pilot bushing.

in regards to the growling noise, how many miles are on your clutch, could it be your friction/pressure plate, maybe. It could also be the throwout bearing too, 98-00 slave cylinders (which are topped with the throwout bearing) where revised numerous times into better slaves for the 01-02 models.

It'll be a week or so but I'll finally get a chance to check the pinion angle to see if it's correct, then take a look at the ds, then go from there.
