    Sync Going Bad?

I've got 14,000 on my 2002 TA, mostly stock and SLP installed components. Over the last few months the 6-speed doesn't want to shift smoothly - particularly from 1 to 2 and 2 to 3. It doesn't grind and it comes out of gear like it should, but for some reason hesitates going into gear. Whether I'm accelerating aggressively or not doesn't seem to matter much.

The only other weird thing it does is when I roll up to a stop light with it out of gear, stop, then go to put it in 1st, sometimes it won't go. I can pull it down into 2nd with no effort and then it will go immediately up into 1st.

Is that indicative of a synchro going out? It did the 1st gear lock out occasionally when it was new, the hesitation going into gear while moving is more recent.

Am I looking at pulling the tranny to fix it?
